Jesse Boykins IIII a MeLo-X prichádzajú s konceptuálnym albumom Zulu Guru (Ninja Tune/Wegart, 2012) a to už samo o sebe budí pozornosť. Albumový koncept od ľudí okolo hip-hopu, r ´n´ b a soulu v roku 2012? Svoj prístup prirovnávajú k ceste bojovníka Zulu - ponechať voľný priebeh vnemu všetkých zmyslov, prijímať nové bez ohľadu na rodovú či žánrovú rozmanitosť a ako bonus dobývať hádam aj celkom nové (hudobné) teritóriá.
